Snorkeling is swimming along the surface of the water with a dive mask, snorkel, and fins. The mask lets you see clearly underwater, while the snorkel is a tube that rises above the water to allow you to breathe with your face in the water. Because you are floating face-down and relaxing with no struggle to breathe, snorkeling is considerably easier than swimming. All snorkel equipment is included in a Shell Island Shuttle snorkel tour.

The 52-foot, U.S. Coast Guard Certified Catamaran "Privateer" can carry up to 78 people. The "Privateer", a Catamaran built in 2012, is one of the most recent Catamarans to be built in America. It has a spacious deck with lots of covered seating in summer and outdoor seating for those who want to enjoy the perfect Panama City Beach sunset.

Shell Island is home to a variety of wildlife, including dolphins.
These reefs can be accessed by boat or from the shore. Nearshore hardbottom reefs can be found from Key Biscayne north up to Cocoa Beach.
They will stop when they get tired, then make a 180deg turn and start running again. They can run at speeds of 1.6m/s, which is about 3.5 mph. Ghost crabs are active most at night, but they can be found at dawn and dusk as well as occasionally at midday.
You'll need to tip between $10-20 depending on how long the tour is. You can usually just tip the person who is saying goodbye at the end of the tour.
